Men’s Singles Final

The final of the Men’s Singles Championship was between Justin Wright and Trevor Thompson. It was a very tight tussle at the beginning and proved to be a great game. Congratulations to Justin and well done to Trev.

Men’s Pairs Final

Congratulations to Dave Reynolds and Peter Bartoshefski, who won the Men’s Pairs Championship against Merv Binning and Fred Langford. The final score was 17 – 13.

Men’s Pairs Plate Final

The winners of the Plate event were Trevor Williams and Trevor Walker who played Simon Elsey and Kelvin “Kiwi” Ruffell. Their final score was 18 – 16. Well played by all!

Men’s Fours Final

The men played their complete round of the Championship Fours on a terribly hot day. The major was anyone’s game – including the final end when Justin was in front to take out the title! Unfortunately, Cam came in and took out his two shot bowls in one foul swoop, making it a tied game. However, Justin had the last bowl and came in with a pearler to take the shot!

The winners of the major were Justin Wright, Ernie Lagana, Merv Binning and George Sheardown over Cam Girvan, Peter Reed, Stu Bryans and Nolan Phillips. Congratulations to both sides!

Men’s Fours Plate Final

The plate winners were Trevor Thompson, Greg McMahon, Peter McSweeney and Lauri Whittleston over Gavin Dodge, John Porter, Simon Elsey and Bryan Spencer. Well done to these guys as well. The beer at the end of the game went down a treat!

Men’s Two Bowl Singles Final

Congratulations to Mick Phillips on winning the Men’s Two Bowl Singles.
Mick started well with a strong lead, but Greg McMahon fought back to make it a very close finish.
Great game guys!

Men’s Triples Final

Winners of this event were Mick Phillips, Cameron Girvan and Dave Reynolds in a tightly contested game against Glenn Sewell, Rob Langley and Nolan Phillips. Congratulations to all players!

Open Gender Consistency Singles Final

The final of our Open Gender Consistency Singles saw Cameron Girvan taking on Max Strange in a high-class game with Cameron coming away with the win 101 – 79. Max had previously won all four Consistency Finals he had participated in, so it was a massive effort for Cameron to get up. Congratulations to both men!

Mixed Pairs final

Under a spectacular evening sky our Mixed Pairs Major and Plate Finals games were very competitive and entertaining. Justin and Judy were able to keep ahead of “Cookie” and Marg who never let them relax and they were worthy winners 26-16. Our two new bowlers, Kevin and Sharon Creed, played so very well and were leading by a large margin in the early stages of the game, but the experience of Peter and Kay got them over the line in a close finish of 22-20. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all players on a great evening of bowling.
